Giardini NaxosThe origins of Giardini Naxos date back to 735 B.C., when a group of colonists disembarked at Capo Schis and founded what is generally considered by ancient historians to have been the first Greek colony in Sicily; it was named Naxos after the Aegean island. Today, you can admire the remains of the ancient city and walk along the ancient streets that dissect the ten hectares of the Archaeological Park. The park also includes the historic Museum of Naxos.
Thanks to its excellent geographical location on the coast of the Ionian Sea, Giardini Naxos has become one of the most beautiful, most highly renowned and most visited tourist resorts in Sicily with plenty of restaurants, fast food shops, boutiques and swimming facilities. It has a wide range of accommodation establishments, many of which also offer activities and entertainment.
Taormina
