The Objectives of the SKA Low 2022 meeting are:
- Present an update on the current status of the construction project, exposing the work that has been done to facilitate knowledge exchange for everyone involved in the SKA Low project.
- Communicate the plans for 2022 and beyond up to AA0.5 and discuss the contributions to ensure consistency and resourcing of the plans at every level.
The SKA Low Construction project has started with an ambitious procurement schedule, starting with the Infrastructure work packages, followed by Antenna Assembly, Signal Processing system, PASD design and MCCS development aiming at AA0.5 as a first delivery of an early system with all the elements of the operational telescope available. In preparation of this milestone the meeting will be presenting the status of the project. It will be an excellent introduction opportunity to learn about SKA-Low.
Next to an overview of the current status, the work towards the first array milestone will be presented with a special focus on this year's AAVS upgrade. Followed by presentations of recent data processing and simulation work and discussions on how to use the prototypes and early array to further advance the system development.
