Vidoconferencing
Videoconferencing feature will be provided through GARR Network Infrastructure:
Virtual Rooms Number will be Defined
PIN Code Will be sent to LMC-dev List
Details and Instructions:
The virtual room supports both High Definition (HD) and Standard Definition (SD) connections.
You can use one of the following methods to connect to the virtual room 73:
* If your terminal is H.323 and uses GDS:
- dial: 0039 3403 6 73
- at the PIN prompt, dial the PIN followed by #: PINcode#
* If your terminal is H.323 and does NOT use GDS:
- dial the IP 130.186.8.17 (or the name mcuhd01.garr.it)
- at the connection promt:
- dial the number followed by #: 73#
or
- use up/down arrows of the remote or keyboard to select the virtual room and the right arrow to enter the virtual room
- at the PIN prompt, dial the PIN followed by #: PINcode#
* If your terminal is SIP and uses ENUM (*):
- dial +390649623673
- at the PIN prompt, dial the PIN followed by #: PINcode#
* If your terminal is SIP e does NOT use ENUM:
- dial: 73@mcuhd01.garr.it
- at the PIN prompt, dial the PIN followed by #: PINcode#
* If you use Skype (*):
- dial with Skype the user vconf.hd (GARR VCONF HD Skype Gateway)
- at the connection promt:
- dial with the Skype dialpad the number followed by #: 73#
- at the PIN prompt, dial with Skype dialpad the PIN followed by #: PINcode#
* If you use a tephone (or mobile phone) (*):
- dial: (+39) 0649623673
- at the PIN prompt, dial the PIN followed by #: PINcode#
The video conferencing system (GARR VCONF) can use the following:

- Polycom
- Tandbgerg
- VCON.
- LifeSize
Software:
- Xmeeting
- PVX
- Polycom Telepresence m100
- Mirial
(*) ENUM, Skype access and the traditional telephony (PSTN) services are experimental and they come in a "best effort" way. The access via Skype and legacy telephony (PSTN) has a VERY limited number of ports available; as such it shall be used only if none of the other provided access methods is available.
