The conference will be held at the Hotel Cidade de Goa which is located on the beach. This venue is offering a special rate to the first 80 participants who make reservations for six nights extending from Sunday, November 6th to Saturday, November 12th (check-out). Participants are encouraged to use this option, and they should contact the hotel directly as indicated below. The hotel has agreed to hold onto an additional 50 rooms until August 31st, and given that this meeting will be held during the high tourist season, we strongly advise participants to book early.

ACCOMMODATION
The venue of the conference will be the Hotel Cidade de Goa where rooms are available at special rates for participants. We strongly encourage participants to stay here given that most other hotels in the area are not within walking distance. The rooms should be booked by contacting Mr. Ajay Naik (salesmanager@cidadedegoa.com) indicating 'SKA2016' in the subject line. Note that the room rates include free transportation from the airport upon arrival, breakfasts, and a welcome drink.

Sandalwood hotel & retreat goa
For those not staying at the Cidade de Goa we will be offering daily shuttle service to the conference venue from two locations at 8:30am each morning. There will be 20 seats on each shuttle and they will be available to make multiple trips if there are more than this number of riders. The two locations are:
1. The junction near the Dona Paula police station
2. Goa University Guest House (this bus will also pick up from the International Centre Goa on the way)
The shuttles will return to these locations at the end of each day.
TOURIST INFORMATION AND GETTING THERE
The state of Goa is considered a major tourist destination, owing to its beautiful beaches, sites of worship and world heritage architecture. The famous Dona Paula Beach (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dona_Paula) is located about two kms from the hotel. WEATHER
Temperatures start to cool down in Goa, India in November, when both the average highs and the average lows begin to fall. During this month, the average temperature starts off at 29°C, created by highs of 34°C during the daytime and lows of 24°C after dark. This drops down to 27.5°C, made up of highs of 33°C during the daytime and lows of 22°C after dark.
