For those choosing to stay at Hotel Cidade de Goa, this hotel will be providing secure pickup from the airport. This should be arranged directly with them. Others are encouraged to take pre-paid taxi from the airport to your desired location in Goa.
For those not staying at the Cidade de Goa we will be offering daily shuttle service to the conference venue from two locations at 8:30am each morning. There will be 20 seats on each shuttle and they will be available to make multiple trips if there are more than this number of riders. The two locations are:
1. The junction near the Dona Paula police station
2. Goa University Guest House (this bus will also pick up from the International Centre Goa on the way)
The shuttles will return to these locations at the end of each day.
It will likely be difficult to obtain rupees outside of India as it is a controlled currency. You will need rupees for travel around the country (e.g. taking taxis or rickshaws) and so we recommend that you obtain some using a currency exchange or bank when you first arrive at a major airport in India. Otherwise, hotels will often be able to give you cash that they then charge to your room.
