How to Access : Morges city / the venue called CUBE / CERN / from & back to GVA airport

How to get to Morges from Geneva Airport

By train

  • All trains departing from/going to Genève-Aéroport station stop in the City Center of Geneva in Geneva-Cornavin station (7-minutes trip between the two stations, up to seven trains per hour at peak hours).

By car

  • Highway number A1 Coming from Geneva : exits Morges-West (Ouest)
  • Covered Parking for 120 cars
  • Parking of Les Halles at 8 minutes walking distance

How to get from Morges to CERN

On Friday November 29, there will be buses, hired by PAERI24, waiting at the Place de la Gare, in front of the Morges train station, to take the participants to CERN and back to Geneva Airport or Geneva train station.  On Friday morning the bus will leave at 8h30 sharp. In case you miss the bus, you will have to take the train and metro or bus to go to CERN. SEE https://www.sbb.ch/en

 

If you are leaving Geneva after the visit to CERN, it is important that you take all your luggage with you to CERN in the morning. If you stay until the end of the visit, you can leave your luggage in the bus, however, if you plan to leave earlier, you cannot leave your luggage in the bus or you have to check with the bus driver. There are lockers in the Visitors’ center of CERN to store your luggage during the visit.

 

How to return to the airport or city center of Geneva after CERN visit

The persons who can stay until the end of the visit will be taken to the Airport or Geneva train station by bus.

In case you cannot stay until the end of the CERN Visit, you can take the tram to return to Cornavin Train station (Geneva center) or to the Geneva airport . See the TPG web site for full details.

There is also a bus from CERN to Geneva airport number B68 or a tram T18 (both take approximately 25 minutes).

If you wish to return to the City Center of Geneva (train station Cornavin), you can take tram T18 (24 minutes).

 

How to get to CERN from Geneva

From Geneva International Airport at Cointrin

By taxi: approximately 35 CHF

By bus : take bus 23, 28 or 57 and get off at "Blandonnet" and then catch tram 18 or bus 68 to the final stop "CERN".

From Geneva railway station at Cornavin (Gare Cornavin)

By tram: Public transport: take tram 18 to "CERN", which is the final stop. Ticket costs 3 CHF (Ticket "Tout Genève" on the ticket machine).

Follow "Aeroport", "Lyon" or "Meyrin". When in Meyrin head for "St. Genis" (which is just across the border in France). Before you get to St. Genis, CERN is on the left hand side of the "Route de Meyrin", just before the border crossing.
