Located in the heart of Penticton the Visitor Centre is the go-to place for all your tourist needs within the Penticton area, especially if you are interested in any winery tours. The Visitor Centre, which lists 44 wineries within a 20-minute drive, is a good place to start touring since it also hosts a VQA (Vintners Quality Alliance) boutique where staff are glad to conduct wine-tasting tutorials for anyone who wants to learn how to swirl, sniff and sip like a pro (spitting optional). If there's no time for touring, just stop by the Visitor Centre for a taste of the wines of the day and a comprehensive selection of some 400 labels representing more than 60 wineries, including a host of international award-winning reds, whites, fruit wines and Icewines.

Locolanding Adventure Park

For those bringing families the Locolanding Adventure Park is a fun day out for all ages with a variety of activities from mini-golf to go-karting. Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for kids.
S.S. Sicamous Inland Marine Museum

The SS Sicamous is the largest surviving stern wheeler in BC. The ship is open as a museum and is a must-see attraction when visiting Okanagan. The SS Sicamous is a very affordable tourist attraction with adult admission at $6.
Munson Mountain
Munson Mountain is located on the east side of Penticton, up Vancouver Hill. Famous for its giant PENTICTON sign, Munson Mountain is a favourite location for breath-taking scenery and photo opportunities. Hike to the top for 360-degree panoramic views, and check out the Sunset Markers, “Pen-Henge”. These are small stones that are aligned to show the position of the sun setting over the west horizon at Winter/Summer Solstice and Spring/Fall Equinox.

Skaha Bluffs Park provides a variety of recreation opportunities including hiking, rock-climbing and wildlife viewing while also protecting habitat for a variety of species at risk. Skaha Bluffs is south of Penticton on the east side of Skaha Lake.

Located a short 30 minute drive from Penticton, BC, Apex is a full service destination resort with quality snow, great weather, incredible terrain, and friendly people. Apex being located in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, features the perfect mix between large amounts of precipitation and low humidity that makes for the lightest champagne powder snow imaginable. 1-Day tickets for adults are $75, with a larger range of options available on the website.
If no snow, then Apex Mountain Resort would be ideal location for hiking and mountain biking.
